I wanted to do something that evoked something more, that had meaning. Poppies are symbols of death -- I kind of wanted to portray that, in a way.

That makes me sad. I really like the second frame where the flower is in bloom. Maybe the last frame could have used an even more jagged line, to emphasise the difference between the live and dead flower.
